On November 14th and 15th, the facilities of Juvé y Camps and Gramona in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia hosted the 1st Iberian Vineyard Pruning Congress, an event that brought together professionals and experts from the sector to reflect on the future of viticulture and the importance of pruning as a key tool for the sustainability of the industry.

This past week, 19 Catalan clusters participated in the Strategic Cluster Week in China, organized by ACCIÓ.

The wine sector is facing the effects of climate change with concern, which has drastically altered the conditions for cultivating vines. 

In light of the growing water crisis in Catalonia, and to continue efforts in this area, INNOVI has launched an operational group to analyze the feasibility of using reclaimed water for irrigating dryland vineyards. This initiative arises in response to the worrying levels of drought threatening viticulture in the region, especially in areas that depend on irrigation, such as Penedès.

The project "WatEnerWine - Water and Energy in the wine sector: transition towards a sustainable, efficient, and resilient industry," coordinated by INNOVI, aims to improve the efficiency of water and energy use in the European wine sector while promoting the use of renewable energy sources.

Els propers 14 i 15 de novembre tindrà lloc el 1r Congrés Ibèric de Poda de la Vinya 2024, un esdeveniment pioner al territori que s’organitzarà a les instal·lacions de Juvé i Camps, a Sant Sadurní d'Anoia. El congrés s'estructurarà en dues jornades: la primera centrada en ponències i tallers, i la segona dedicada a una masterclass de poda.

El projecte "Validació industrial i disseny d'un protocol d'ús de l’àcid fumàric en vins catalans per prevenir la fermentació malolàctica no desitjada" ha arribat a la seva fase final amb resultats prometedors que obren noves vies per a la millora de la qualitat i estabilitat dels vins elaborats a Catalunya
