INNOVI has been awarded the bottle reuse project at the regional level in Catalonia, funded with the support of the Catalan Waste Agency.

This project, led through the collaboration between the Catalan Wine Association and INNOVI, aims to promote sustainability and circular economy in the wine sector by analysing the Catalan wine market and focusing on bottle reuse.

The initiative focuses on conducting an in-depth analysis of the Catalan wine market and developing strategies for bottle reuse, thus addressing environmental challenges with innovative solutions.

Through detailed research, the project will study the number of wine bottles consumed in the autonomous community, particularly in the still wine segment, within HORECA establishments. This study will identify the optimal areas for implementing bottle reuse, marking a significant step towards sustainability.

With the active participation of representatives from Catalan wineries, a diagnostic assessment will be carried out to establish technical and aesthetic parameters for a potential future design of reusable bottles, with the aim of reducing waste generation and the carbon footprint of the wine sector.
