VITI-RAM: Contribution of ecosystem and economic services of the integration of viticulture and livestock

Project formed by Innovi as coordinator of the group, Lagravera as the leader, recharedo and forest technology center of Catalonia as the Consortium's mebras.

The need for the project: the combination of climate change, extreme drought, lack of generational relief, rural abandonment and difficult working conditions puts at risk the extensive livestock sector, especially the sheep. In addition, wine farms have challenges in sustainability, biodiversity management and cost reduction, including forests and fertilizer use. This project seeks to integrate the pasture of sheep in vineyards to address these challenges together.
