Project funded through Operation 16.01.01 for Cooperation for Innovation in the Rural Development Program of Catalonia 2014-2020.

The objective of the project is to improve the competitiveness of agri-food farms through modernization, incorporating collaborative robotics into their processes.

As previously explained, the maturity of the technology and the importance of the sector present optimal conditions to initiate the process.

One of the main tools will be the development of a Guide that compiles the state of the art with concrete examples, the results of pilot tests, and generates recommendations for implementation.

To achieve this overall objective, several intermediate goals will be obtained:

• Analysis of production processes and feasibility of incorporating collaborative robotics.

• Compilation of existing experiences in collaborative robotics in the agri-food industry.

• Design of three prototypes.

• Implementation of pilot tests for three typical operations.

• Conducting simulations of new configurations.

• Evaluation of the pilot test.

• Technical and economic evaluation of the introduction of pilots and collaborative robotics in the agri-food sector.
