Each year, the Vegetal Health Service of the Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda (DACC) collects the data provided by the winemakers from all over Catalonia in order to know the first stains and warnings of the mildew and thus foresee its incidence. The aim of this recognition is to reward the vineyards to locate the first mildew spots of the vineyard in the different Catalan wine areas.

Since 2020, Innovi has been in charge of the distribution of the awards and the organization of the delivery event.

This year, the DO Pla de Bages, are the hosts of the 2023 Mildew Awards.
