Project funded by the call: Cooperation for Innovation by the Agriculture Department of Catalonia (DARP) 2014-2020.
The project's general objective is to produce ecological yeasts for wine and sparkling wine, which would allow companies to differentiate their product through the use of the biodiversity of microorganisms existing in their vineyards.
Companies that are committed to producing organic wines and cavas as an improvement in qualitative competitiveness in the sector cannot produce them with native yeasts from their plots and multiply them with organic raw material.
The innovative pilot project aims to meet this need.
