Organic viticulture has become one of the pillars of organic agricultural production in Catalonia. With more than 33,800 certified hectares, around 2,000 producers and over 400 wineries, the sector shows continuous growth and a clear orientation towards practices that respect the environment and soil health.
Organic production promotes a balance between the vineyard and its natural environment: it fosters biodiversity, enhances the biological activity of the soil, and reduces dependence on synthetic chemical products. This creates more balanced growing conditions, where the vineyard can fully express its potential in harmony with the territory.
The Organic Vineyard and Oenology Symposium aims to highlight this production model and provide a space for debate and reflection for producers, technicians, and industry stakeholders. It is an opportunity to share knowledge, experiences, and strategies to face current challenges: from resilience to climate change to improving the competitiveness of the organic sector. This space reaffirms the commitment to a respectful viticulture, rooted in the territory and with a clear vision for the future.
